This is great news. I'm on-call 24x7 for a week at a time, every 5 weeks or so, and in the past would never even consider going boating during one of my weeks. I got a employer-provided Verizon air card late last year and was hoping it would work well on the lake.
While I'm not looking forward to getting a customer call while on the water, the fact that I'll be able to log in to customer networks and solve problems while at anchor seems pretty cool. The ability to get real-time weather radar data and such without paying for the service on a phone rocks too.
