Strikes me (without anything but occasional visits to the 2 cams, to go on) that the 10 degree difference might be a record of sorts. Wadda you think?

On reflection, maybe this belongs in the weather section.
I have been to the summit many times over the years usually in August and the temperature has been on occasion been the same at the base and the summit and I have had 80+ degrees at the base and snow on the summit. As well all know the weather at the summit can change by the minute.
