The "no politics" rule refers to arguments about political issues that don't directly relate to the lake. Information about major candidates visiting the lake is a Lakes Region topic and certainly allowed here.
Since Mitt Romney has a home on the lake I expect that information and comments will be posted here if he becomes the Republican candidate and brings his entourage and an army of media to the lake. Mitt's candidacy should also create a bump in site visits as Lake Winnipesaukee receives national publicity and people all over the world say "Lake what?".
