I think you might be referring to JR's BBQ, which was right across the street, but has been gone for several years.
It is now called HEAT, a wood fired pizza shop, I believe. Never been, and know very little about it.
Also across the street, is the LOONY BIN..."Lousy Food, Warm Beer"...but, my guess, is that this is not what you are loking for. Although, with the right group, the LB can be good fun.
