This post was about flying the AMERICAN FLAG at half mast to honor those Americans who died. I am well aware that there were foreigners who also died and I would presume that their respective countries would also honor them by doing the same or by whatever their standard traditions are. My post was by no means meant to disrespect those foreign traditions.

Our traditions as US citizens is to honor our home country men and women by placing our flags at half mast by order of the President and only the President in remembrance of those who died.

I truly hope you do not take issue with that...

2529 Americans died; 209 people who died were of other nationalities representing more than 40 nations. I mourn for all the people who died that day and especially my fellow countrymen who I will honor with an American flag flying at half mast.
