Cool Birdathon

This unusual event requires preregistration.

Birdathon
May 21, 2005
Where else can you see a spruce grouse, a red-bellied woodpecker and a roseate tern all in the same day? Roughly 300 species of birds can be seen in New Hampshire at some time during the year either as migrants, residents, winter visitors or summer visitors. Late May is the best time to see the most varieties of bird species in the state.
The New Hampshire Audubon Society is once again hosting a Birdathon, during which participants track all the varieties of birds they see in a 24 hour period. The current single day record is 170 species. Raindate is May 28.
There is a registration fee of $15 to participate. This will cover an entry packet, dinner and the Awards Ceremony. Prizes will be awarded in several categories.
For more information contact Eric Masterson at 603-224-9909 Ext. 307 or visit the Audubon Society of New Hampshire
