Casting aspersions toward those who don't agree with you that they would keep the items forgotten for themselves and/or are the type of people who lack courtesy is absolutely ludicrous and based on your EXPECTATIONS of others.
I had a friend who won the lottery for 126 million...yup..the big one. Now, don't you think that courtesy would dictate that he drop a mill or 2 in my pocket? He didn't...and i even held the door for him once!!
You may have put on your big girl panties be accepting responsibility, but they definitely need some further adjustment.

BTW, we went to Canoe last week- my wife forgot her leftovers and our server ran out and caught us in the parking lot. Did we expect it? No, but it was a nice gesture.
