NH could certainly be worse, relatively speaking.
These statistics are misleading. Take an average salary around Mass in maybe defense, high tech, medical or even teaching. I think an accurate average salary would be $75,000 a year. Where can I work and make that after my move to Moultonborough? Oh, within a half hour drive like I have now. Not getting specific I do fit into one of the fields mentioned. I've considered moving and "got my feet wet" in the potential job market, it wasn't pretty.
