This thread reminds me of another bath house I used to walk past all the time when I was quite young in York Beach before the sea wall was built on Long Sands. Everyone's driveway was once behind their houses on Long Sands and at the end of Railroad Avenue just before the ballfield there was a bath house. I never used it but it's still there, surrounded by trees. The new bath house is right on the beach where it should have been in the first place.

I'll bet most people don't even know there's a road behind all those beach houses, but that was the shortcut when Long Beach Ave. was too busy.
