It was almost exactly eight acres on Wagon Wheel Trail, Meredith, with almost exactly 800' of waterfront on the east side of Meredith Bay, just outside of the no wake zone, and directly, about one half mile over the water, from the Inn at Church Point waterfront walkway and gazebo.
Drove down Wagon Wheel Trail today, and there is one single concrete foundation being built by Southern NH Foundations, and a public posting of the Meredith building permit and NH-DES shoreline protection items which anyone can read simply by parking their car and getting out to read. While the foundation is pretty good sized, it is not all that big or anything considering the eight acre house lot that surrounds it.
So, contrary to whatever hearsy scuttlebutt about eight individual single family homes built on eight acres, or condos, or whatever; it sure looks to me like that 8-million dollar, 8 acre parcel will become home to a solitary single family house on the eight acres and 800' of waterfront. The existing 1960's home is to be torn down according to the DES posted items, and a very nice medieval style, granite boathouse is already in place.
I'll betcha the owner is kick'n themsself for spending 8-mil on just the eight acres back in January, 2009, because they most likely could have got it for 25% less had they waited till right now to buy.....................too bad................ho-ho-ho!
