Default Fishing Report 5-12/13 2012

Spent 4 hours on the water Saturday morning (6:00 A.M. - 10:00 A.M) caught one small salmon and nice healthy 21" laker off the downrigger. Tried every color in the spectrum and had all depths covered from 12' - 25' and just couldn't get the salmon to bite.

Went out again Saturday afternoon for a couple hours and got two additional lakers both at 21" and another small salmon around 16".

Slept in a little on Sunday morning and hit the water about 7:30 A.M and only fished till 10:30 (it is Mothers day after all and mom was waiting for her annual brunch! ) Caught two small lakers 18"ish and another small salmon.

Went out for a couple hours Sunday afternoon and landed three salmon with only one of them keeper size.

Everything caught this weekend was between 15' - 20' down, lakers included. I found that the lakers were all hitting the same lure and since I was not targeting lakers I did not use that lure Sunday afternoon and didn't catch any.

I was a little disappointed with the size and quantity of salmon I was catching. Besides the low and small salmon catch, overall it was great weekend to be on the water as the sun was shining and the water calm!

Dan

P.S. All fish caught were returned to the fishery.
