Default Necky Manitou

I have an Old Town, Loon tandem 12’ that I’ve had since 99 and it is a great kayak.
It is ok, really stable and safe but in no means sleek.
My wife searched brands and came up with the Necky, Manitou single person 14’ kayak that she purchased last summer.
This has the drop down keel which is a great thing to have if there is any wind.
I’d highly recommend this as a one person kayak for sleekness and ease of use, the only drawback is it is very low to the water and you will get wet when you are in boat waves especially on the lake where they come at you from all directions.
I would highly recommend searching the internet for used ones. She paid about half the price of a new one and got a Thule roof rack with it.
