Default I would go along with NOBOZO

If you can't afford the laundromat, I would fill an old galvanized iron tub with water, some woolite, and stir the cover by hand until the water turns black. Rinse in water and white vinegar and repeat if the rinse water is black.

If you have a porch railing you can wrap the cover around, borrow your neighbor's pressure washer and wash the heck out of it. Careful you don't apply to much pressure, your sunbrella will rival swiss cheese.
