The problem with damage like this is that you can't see it. Even if the Searay owner knows about the incident, unless the boat is taking on water, he will never know how much damage was done. The Carver captain will say he just bumped the Searay.

It will probably take a skilled surveyor to see any damage. If the damage is very bad there may be some visible cracking but even that won't be visible until on the trailer.
