The story I remember.

My neighbor always had a newer Century. The last one I remember was a late 50's with the sliding roof.
The story at the time was that his Century had a special ordered engine. And that it was a Cadillac engine.
I have no way to verify this.
I do remember folks stating that this was the fastest (non-modified) boat on the lake at the time. That may have been a bit of an exageration but the boat was fast.
