Warm weather in very early spring gave rise to early blossoms. Then came a hard frost about on normal schedule that killed off the early blossoms. I was told at the orchard where I picked that up to 80% of the crop was lost in this area. So don't wait too long to go picking.

Went apple picking yesterday in Hollis and alot of trees were bare. We were wondering if it was an early season. Got alot of good Cortlands but they were all up high, trees were pretty much picked over
