I wonder how many remember when there was a "Plaque" on the drivers side door sill that said;
"Body By Fisher".... Cadillacs, Even Chevrolet's. In the early days, car makers (incl Detroit) built the chassis and running gear..and
"Coach Builders" built the bodywork.
