It's a huge lake, although I agree some parts ARE huge beautiful homes that most of us could never own, others still hold that Golden Pond feel. When family come up and we cruise by the homes on Governors Island they are amazed at the wealth. Then we meander through Sally's Gut and its like you're in a different world. The lake is big enough for mansions, log cabins, cottages and regular homes.
The property on my left, lakefront 5 bedroom, recently sold for just over 400K. A small house overlooking the lake to my right is selling for just under 200K. Another lot on the street was on the market for 1.5 million. So you can find homes on this lake for both the average Joe as well as the above average Joseph.
