Those of you who know me know how much I truly adore good thunderstorms.
Today we enjoyed a day off - yup, a WHOLE DAY! Thusly, while running some errands we watched the storm approaching, skirted around the edge of it, and got stuck in the leading edge of it on the way home. At this point the downpour was simply astounding, and it's a good thing I know our road so well!
We managed to run ahead of it again, and pulled into the garage about a minute ahead of it's arrival here. Then we sat and THOROUGHLY enjoyed the wild wind, brilliant lightning, and crashing thunder! Wow, it was great. First storm was definately stronger than those that followed it, but they weren't too bad either. The power stayed on, the wind cooled the whole house down (okay, so all the windowsills were dripping, so what!) and we enjoyed the wonder of nature's fury from our couch. Can't beat spending an afternoon that way, in our opinion.
