I just read in the LaDa Sun on-line that there are folks in the Belknap County government that are proposing a 9% increase in the county tax.

This has to be the most bizarre idea I have heard coming from a group of government officials. Do they realize what is going on in this economy and in the country as a whole? A 9% increase in an economy that is growing at less than 3%? Time for a huge reality check.

Contact these fiscally irresponsible officials and let them know they need to find a way to manage their budget within reasonable bounds or they will be voted out.
