I drove by there a couple times yesterday afternoon. The boat ramp trail onto the ice looked pretty beat up. The stream inlet and docks have a lot of open water. Maybe there is some longshore flow between the open waters that is eating away at the bottom of the ice at the ramp. I only saw one small p/u each time I drove by. One was a couple hundred feet in from the ramp at some huts and the other was way up the bay. There were none on the ice at Ctr Hrb so I think people are heeding the warnings to keep the vehicles off. There will probably be an early ice out again this year unless we get a long spell of drastically cold weather night and day; though I think the worst of it is over.
