In those days—it was, indeed—
inspiring.
At my winter residence, we're not very far from a U.S. Navy base.
Complaints—mostly, residents from the northern tier of the United States—are aired on local radio, printed-, and electronic- media frequently.
My question, however, is this: How was this determined to be a
Navy aircraft? They look so much alike. That must have been a very low "pass".

U.S. Navy C-130 has landed on an aircraft carrier!

Those are White Pines and Eastern Hemlocks in the photo, which grow to somewhat over 100-feet. The Hercules in the background is a huge aircraft. I think he's well-above 500-feet.
