Linda, in Alton Bay, there are cottages starting on the east side of the bay right across the street from the town beach. They are just across the road. Going out that road, there are several older cottages that would be within "the sound" of the bandstand that is on the other side of the bay. Names have undoubtably changed over the years.

On the other side of the road, heading toward Laconia is Sandy Point with many cottages, sitting out on a point of land, with beaches on all three sides.

Were the cottages on the water, or across a street? Also, on the east side of the bay was the Oak Birch Inn, which had a couple of bowling alleys in the basement, and showed movies there as well. Any help with your recollections?
