Actually it is about quality, consistency, customer service, etc.
As for the cost, some of us choose to spend our money more wisely then others do. Especially in these tough times. It has nothing to do with being cheap it is a personal preference. When I used to go to D&D I would almost never get my coffee made the same way twice in a week. Many have said the same thing. Before I gave up and started making my own I'd started going to Irving and filling my own mug for $1.10. I got the same exact coffee every day and if for some reason it wasn't the same it was my fault.
As for being cheap, and I'm not trying to start a pissing contest but I personally was buying it at D&D because I was to lazy to make it myself and in the end I save myself over half of what I'd spend at D&D.
So if we were labeling I'd rather be conscious of what I spend my money on then lazy.
