The West marine catalog and website has basic wiring diagrams to help. You should be able to figure it out.

From what is going on here it looks like wiring varies among manufacturers. In my case the two cables from the battery goes to an electrical panel where all the wires in the boat are connected and this eliminate the tangle of wires to the battery. Actually I have two batteries, one is a starter and the other is a deep cycle. Manufacturers should adopt this approach?
