That's good news, indeed! Now, for lessons learned:
IF the teenagers took the boat out without notification, then that's a serious lack of judgment.
BUT, if their parents gave them permission, then that's even more serious. Certain things in life simply don't mix well. Oil and water. Alcohol and driving. Teenagers, a boat, wind and high waves. BTW, who set the expectation: "
Expected to be back before dark"?
And what about communication? No cell phones aboard? No visual or audio ways of communicating?
I certainly hope lessons will be learned from this. Otherwise, all the search and rescue efforts were undertaken for naught.
