I agree, Propellor has it right on this one. I suspect that maybe reality will catch up to property values/taxes, it'll just take a while. Of course if biotech or nanotech or ?? becomes the new "hot thing" and the economy picks up, then all bets are off. And what's wrong with replacement mansions that nobody uses. Taxes paid, up to code septic systems, town services not utilized and their boats on the lake but 1 week a summer. Esthetics aside, there are some practical advantages.
