My preference

- Vee
- Deck
- Anything else
- Pontoon

I read that some decks are almost as good as Vee's in the rough stuff. The cut of the bow seems to slap rather than plunge through the waves. The bow and cabin space of the decks seem attractive but I would stay Vee myself. My next boat will have deep vee, good deadrise, good freeboard to be as comfortable and safe as I would like for rougher days.

Toons are not my thing, even though the ride and performance keeps improving every year.
