1. We had several weekend of good loon sights, through out the entire season... we got so see several young loons up close, several time... Overall I don't think my wife ever has been able to feed into her loon obsession as much as she was this season.

2. While part of my dock is articulating, I do have a few pieces that need to be manually put in.. And this year my eldest stepson, was strong enough and tall enough to really be helpful... watching him work with me both putting the dock in, and taking it out, brought a smile to both my face and my wife's

3. The boys went tubing for the first time out in the broads while we where on vacation... and even though youngest was intimidated by the experience, they both loved and enjoyed it....

4. We discovered Ragged Island... and visited several times... morning coffee and a walk around the island is an excellent way to start the day...

5. A personal high for me, was taking a weekend jetski ride to Alton, to visit friends, and then having the ride of my life coming home. A steady wind had turned the lake up, and I bounced, myself silly... arriving back in Moultonborough looking like I had just fallen off, even though I hadn't

6. We took a trip to the polar caves, the first real touristy activity I have done with wife and kids, and it was a blast.... Of course, while them were able to lemon squeeze I did just opt to by pass...

7. We also end the year with a great drive along the kancamangus highway for foliage season...

8. We also took at trip to Wolfeboro, to see the antique boats show... And to my surprise, even the boys for the first time, saw the beauty of the old wooden crafts...

All in all it was a great season at the lake, and while I am sadden by the year being complete, the thoughts of what to do next year, to make memories, are already starting to formulate.

What memorable lake and white mountain moments did everyone else have this summer.
Thanks for sharing. I always enjoy reading about someone else's memory moments especially if they are the same kinds of things I (we) like doing.
Winni is a magical place for my wife and I (and Sadie, our lab/shepherd loves it too). We rent our favorite cabin twice over the summer, keep our boat at Minge Cove, coming up as often as we can to go out on the lake. The summer never lasts long enough and all of a sudden it's October and we're looking at pics and videos just to be there again. All those neat family activities you listed will become lifetime memories many years from now when other things may have been forgotten. Have a great winter and before you know it, we'll all be back at Winni!
**Can you imagine I was probably 30 or so when one day I actually looked at the word "Kancamagus" written on a map and realized for the first time that I'd gotten it wrong up until then. Go figure!
