As someone who used to have fun* with pyrotechnics, I have to say there have been some nice private shows on the lake this year. Just last week there was quite a display up the bay across from Echo Pt. Some of the display must have been professional shells and they didn't look much different from what the town did earlier this year !
*Back in the day we used to do a July 4'th show for the people on my friends pond in ME. Got quite an applause when a 2 stage silver jet ignited the whole shebang out on the raft one year .... hmmm.... the last we did it as I recall
