I saw a Chipmunk make many "round-trips" to my sailboat, jumping aboard and rummaging about, and wondered about what was going on. It was only when I raised the mainsail that many ounces of birdseed fell out!
As to "seeing" the wiring gnawed,
Perry Mason might have you on the witness stand to ask one last question:
