Its been a while since my last visit there
It's got to be at least 10 years since I last dove there, perhaps the structure has collapsed or changed since then. The structure consisted of three poles coming together with cross members attached. Other poles were lying on the bottom indicating a forth pole rising out of the meeting point, supporting my theory that it was a mark.
I have seen tree trunks and old poles float vertically in the water column just under the surface. Johnson cove is just such a place where they are still floating today. They are interesting to play with since they appear to be stuck in the bottom, but move when you touch them. We shove them and they appear to falling over, only to right themselves again. Perhaps their gases from the decaying process caught inside that make them do this. These are rather large logs, foot and a half in diameter and 12 to 14 feet long. If you hit one of these, it could sure ruin your day to say the least.
