Snipe are very mysterious. My first night at Boy Scout camp not one of us 1st timers had any luck. That was even after the nice older guys supplied us with burlap bags and showed us the prime snipe runs.
Of course the next year I brought bags for the 1st timers and helped pass the sport on.
