I just learned last night that the owner used to gas up with 100-octane aircraft fuel at the Lakes Region Airpark Seaplane dock. Then he got his own supply in a boathouse.

(For a while, anyway...then KA-BOOM! Spent some weeks in a Boston burn unit, but it could have been fatal had he not been blasted into the lake).
