Default Depending on your water table in your area...

Consider a dug well or point well if you are on municipal water, or even on well water.

Having a well for watering cuts down on municipal water costs, and allows you to take care of your lawn and gardens in the event of a water use ban. Add in a faucet and you can connect a hose for special watering or washing your vehicles and boats.

If on a well, it saves on the use of your well pump.

If you add a water faucet connection, you can use a manifold to connect the various zones, including one for the faucet. Simply turn off the irrigation zones and open the faucet zone... voila, water for the hose.

Just a thought.
