When the vessel is afloat, that weight is supported by the whole hull. Just my opinion.

I couldn't agree more... I run stabilizer in my boat all summer long, just so I don't have to worry about the right amount being in the tank when I put the boat to bed... I usually drain the tank down to around 1/3 of a tank...
