I have to agree with Rusty on this one. The way the main post was worded focused on the transgender aspect.

That being said I don't live in the lakes region but just a little south of there (Manchester area).

I work with a couple transgender people and IMO it's what you make of it. A close coworker made the switch a couple years back and her biggest hardship was not work, but family. It takes time and you can't expect or force the results you want upon others but generally speaking most people are accommodating.
