If they delivered gas to your house, it probably would be more expensive than oil. The trucks, drivers. insurance, small loads, billing, delayed payments, trips back and forth to supply points for trucks that only hold a few thousand gallons, keeping track for auto delivery, etc. etc. drive the cost up for oil. My guess is there is a $.40 - $.50 cents per gallon up charge for delivery, but that is only a guess.
