Default I don't get it

It would seem to me that anyone who would buy in that building would feel some attraction to the lake. But, that is a pretty steep price for no waterfront, no dock, and no beach. If you buy in that building and want to have a boat, there is the additional annual cost of renting a boat slip. And, you will have to pack up the car with the cooler and the family and drive to the boat when you want to go out!

The price range that this puts you in opens up a number of waterfront possibilities, actually on the lake, that come with their own dock. It would not be a difficult decision for me.

Having said that, the building down the street with a similar situation sold out a couple of years ago with prices in the $550,000 to $650,000 range.

I still don't get it!
