I think it's a matter of time / convenience vs amount of disposable income.

I change my boat oil and filter and winterize it. My very finacially successful friend keeps his FL boat in valet service. They fuel it, wash it, maintain it and have it ready for him when he calls.

If I were running in the rat race every day (and thinking about it at night) down in Boston with a big compensation package, those condos and the various amenities would be attractive to me.
