One thing you may want to consider is the longevity of the power. If I'm not mistaken the dual prop Merc's have a reputation of electrolysis and corrosion issues. Merc may have solved the issue by now,, I certainly hope so.
I've owned both Merc and Volvo power. In my experience the Merc drives have been less expensive to repair and has more widespread parts availability than the Volvo but the Volvo has been more reliable.
YMMV of course.
