Verbal agreements, if in fact there was one, don't mean much with respect to real estate. In fact they mean nothing. I think they are wasting time and money but if you get good counsel sometimes you can prevail. It will be interesting to watch it work its way through the courts. If Blizzard is successful reversing the Pending sale, I'd imagine the city will be sued by Irwin for breech of contract. What a mess.
