The skis are set to go! I was very surprised to find them caked with rust, thank goodness I’m handy with a Dremel. (Don’t try this with your good skis!) After the rust removal I buffed out the big scratches and applied some wax called Waxagra.

(Found it at Play it Again Sports.) The directions say: For long lasting, slick lubrication, apply a thin layer of wax to a warm base. Allow to dry 2-3 minutes and buff in with something soft and sexy!
(Now I need new lingerie!)
Today, when I should have been taking care of other business, I took an old plastic sled, packed down the hill and tried it out. Then I took it in, cleaned up the scratches and applied two coats of wax. WOO HOO what a ride and what a difference! The bed race skis should be wonderful!!! (I hope!)
I got side-tracked yet again.

Maybe we could have an online contest for snowmen or snow sculptures that are lake related?
(This would not be my entry, I can do better.
