I said old regulation because I installed the dock and awning about 7 or 8 years ago, and don't know if the laws have changed.
Under these regulations , a permanent dock was limited to thirty feet in length, and the canopy or awning could not exceed this length.
A seasonal dock can be forty feet in length. I don't know if there is a length limitation for an awning on a seasonal dock.
