Some years ago--I am an old man and cannot remember the date-- there was a tiff that led to a public cartography showdown which was to be held on neutral territory. On the day of battle, people lined the streets to see who would claim victory and, hence, become the Monarch of Maps. It is widely told that Duncan never showed, but having been a wee lad selling wares off a cart, I was privy to the truth: Bizer, ever the gentleman, arrived armed with the agreed upon weapons--a protractor, compass, and marker's pencil--but Duncan, ever the shifty vagrant, had hidden nunchucks in his cloak. When this was discovered, the townspeople erupted in outrage and briskly ushered Duncan out of town, never to be seen again.

As a result of this skirmish--some refer to it as the Great Betrayal of Centre Harbour--Bizer was granted lone sovereignty over Winni maps. Since then, he has enjoyed his reign peacefully.

Nobody really knows what ever happened to Duncan. I heard not long ago that he had become a server in a 1920's-themed speakeasy known for its incredible crawfish and bathtub gin, but that was never confirmed.
