I went in the Navy almost 60 years ago. This was essentially what we
"Boots" were told. Men wore "Trousers", women wore "Panties". You can take it from there.
Back in those days, (1959) Navy bootcamp had
Navy Senior Petty Officers doing the "drilling". Drilling was training the troops to
March in unison on the drill field.
"Left-Right..Left-Right..Column Right..YO..etc." NEVER smile when your drill instructor gets in your face..really in your face....three inches..you can smell his breath. I think sometimes the DI would purposefully injest some nasty garlic..or something, just to make a point. Fond Memory's.
