If I'm reading it correctly, the canal doesn't show on Bizer's chart since it is covered by an inset. It shows pretty clearly on a satellite overhead. I rarely get to that area of the lake, so I've never visited the canal.

How long is it? Hard to tell from the satellite, but many docks and boats can be seen.

In "normal" times, how deep is it?
Was it dredged in the 70's when Balmoral was developed?

At least one rock was mentioned above. Are hazards marked or is this bleach bottle territory?

Clay bank mentioned above. Is the area mostly clay, sand ? Steep sides? The docks all look to be parallel to shore, so I gather the water is OK close to shore, right?

I also looked at a 1962 Public Utilities chart. Nothing shows, although there is no inset to obscure anything.
