A manhunt appears to be underway near the town line between Meredith and Laconia. Police have closed a section of Route 3, from Rollercoaster Road in Laconia to the traffic circle in Meredith.
Meredith Police are looking for a man wearing a gray long-sleeved T-shirt, blue jeans and a baseball cap.
Belmont police were unable to confirm whether the subject of the manhunt is related to the shooting in that town yesterday.
Update: Police are focusing their attention on the Vacation Escapes motel in Meredith.
