Overnight, we went from ice free in front of my house to now having slushy ice from the shoreline to about 100 yards out. There is no wind to break it up so I expect it will continue to work its way further out. At least until the predicted winds tonight beat it back.

But, the temps are clearly close as the falling snow is not melting immediately after hitting the water. With forecast temps in the teens and single digits (-1 on Thursday night! ), things could lock in quickly.
