Doubtful. Because, unfortunately, that headline usually happens shortly after the coves/shoreline areas have just frozen over. Doesn't take long
On a more seriouse note, the next few weeks are the dangerous ones. Please remind all you know that while the ice may look solid, give it a few more weeks to lock in.
